Plano Nordeste Potência

The Nordeste Potencia Plan is a project with international connections that seeks to promote a green, renewable and inclusive economic recovery for Brazil. The project outlines a political, economic and social plan for the Northeast region composed of specialists from different areas, focusing on the production of wind and solar energy, which finds the ideal conditions for its generation in the region. Its main objective was to communicate in a modern, inclusive and representative way the dream of a more sustainable and fair future.

With the advancement of discussions on climate change and record deforestation rates in Brazil, the Nordeste Potencia Plan becomes especially relevant for condensing the opinion and studies of some of the main Brazilian activists and scientists, who believe in the future of the country as a great green power. After its launch, which took place during the election period, the project gained the support of several extremely relevant political leaders in the region.

As a single symbol would not be able to represent all the social and ecological diversity of the region (which represents 20% of the Brazilian territory), the illustrations were the way found to represent all the key components, as well as to invite political leaders to imagine a better future. Forming a patchwork quilt of saturated colors (representing the region's strong sun), the elements interact to represent nature: fauna, flora, water, earth, winds; and the human: technology, work, agriculture and culture.

PT-BR: O Plano Nordeste Potência é um projeto com conexões internacionais que busca promover uma recuperação econômica verde, renovável e inclusiva para o Brasil. O projeto desenha para a região Nordeste um plano político, econômico e social composto por especialistas de diversas áreas, focando na produção de energia eólica e solar, que encontra na região as condições ideais para sua geração. Seu objetivo principal era comunicar de forma moderna, inclusiva e representativa o sonho de um futuro mais sustentável e justo.

Com o avanço das discussões sobre mudanças climáticas e índices de desmatamento recorde no Brasil, o Plano Nordeste Potência se torna especialmente relevante por condensar a opinião e estudos de alguns dos principais ativistas e cientistas brasileiros, que acreditam no futuro do país como uma grande potência verde. Após o lançamento, feito durante o período eleitoral, o projeto conseguiu a adesão de diversas lideranças políticas de extrema relevância na região.

Como um único símbolo não seria capaz de representar toda a diversidade social e ecológica da região (que representa 20% do território brasileiro), as ilustrações foram o caminho encontrado para representar todos os atores chave, bem como convidar lideranças políticas a imaginarem um futuro ainda não existente. Formando uma colcha de retalhos de cores saturadas (representando o forte sol da região), os elementos interagem para representar a natureza: fauna, flora, água, terra, ventos; e o humano: a tecnologia, o trabalho, agricultura e cultura.
